Expert Choice Filling Tips & Strategy
Choice filling determines your branch and college. Make smart decisions based on past trends.
Analyze Cutoff Trends
Check the previous year cutoff opening and closing ranks for your category. Arrange choices matching your rank zone. Don't rely solely on the first round cutoffs; check final round data too.
Priority Order Matters
Arrange choices in strict decreasing order of your personal preference. Place dream choices at the top, realistic choices in the middle, and guaranteed safety backup choices at the bottom.
Fill Ample Choices
Do not restrict yourself to only 5 or 10 choices. Fill maximum options of branches and colleges you are willing to join to prevent "No Seat Allotted" status in Round 1.
Choice Locking
Verify options, double-check orders, and always manually Lock your choices by paying the portal fee. Unlocked choices will be auto-locked at the deadline but manual locking guarantees security.
